INTERACTIVE DESIGN FOR GAMES AND WEB APPLICATION


DESIGNING GAMES PROCESS


After finishing the games, we need to create the game using the background in Mantin to create the game. For me I create an Interactive story where I just need to change the backdrop, and glide the character and put some dialogue.

Even though mine is the easiest, because it is the new software and the coding is bit confusing and after I done it right when I open it again the coding is missing and I need to create new coding again.

REFLECTION

After doing this I think it is fun to learn new things but because it first time we creating game, so we need to understand the coding and how to connect the game so it can be play.

EMOTION BOX

In this task we were ask to create the emotion that represent the Mantin in color. So we use the picture in Mantin and our character and some template to create our emotion. When created the emotion box I face failure within it.

SPECTRUM


Spectrum is a condition that is not limited to a specific set of values but can vary infinitely within a continuum.

A spectral color is a color evoked by a single wavelength of light in visible spectrum, or by a relatively narrow bands of wavelengths. Every wavelengths of light is perceive as a spectral color, in a continuous spectrum. The color of sufficiently close wavelengths is indistinguishable.

The spectrum is often divided up into named colors, through any division is somewhat is arbitrary and the spectrum continuously. The traditional color include red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet.

MODELLING PROCESS

In this task, I will start to make my character in 3D model in Maya Software. Below is the picture and screenshot for my process.

MONOCHROME

Monochrome is the photograph or picture developed or executed in black and white or in varying tones of only one color.

So in this task I choose Blue color as my monochrome. I choose picture from the Mantin Journey that contain the Blue tone.

CHARACTER PROCESS

Where I  research about the character that represent Mantin. So I choose the old oil lamp as my character it is because the lamp is the essential or important thing that use to guide and light the life of people in Mantin before the electricity come to this small town. First I use the old street lamp but it possibly never use in Mantin, so I change it into old kerosene lamp and I need to put Mantin feel in there.

HIGH ANGLE: A shot from above the subject.



MEDIUM ANGLE: A shot taking half of the upper body of the subject.



CHOCKER: An extreme close up towards the subjects to show the expression of the subject.


POV(POINT OF VIEW): A shot taking from the pov of the camera with the subject.


REACTION: A shot taking of the close up of the reaction or expression of the subject.

TASK 2

Subject Matter : Mantin
Topic: Interaction Between Human and Building

My subject matter is about Mantin and my topic is about Interaction Between Human and Building.

So, I'm going to learn what is building and creating the mind map about what material to create the building, furniture, structure and etc.

I choose furniture and from furniture I choose the old oil lamp. Why I choose the oil lamp is because in every building in Mantin has black soot on the upper side of their wall and from the metaphor, the lamp was alive and recording the interaction between the human and building and also providing a guide towards their life.

MASCOT, ICON AND CHARACTER RESEARCH


TASK 2

In this task we need to conduct research about mascot, icon and character research before we going to design and create our own character. So in this research, I choose two mascot that famously known, A&W and MC DONALD.

Mc Donald

The name of the famous fast food chain restaurant is come from the founder itself name : Richard and Maurice McDonald.
Their mascots come from the TV series in 1950 that known as BOZO. BOZO is a clown in that series and the McDonald mascots name is Ronald McDonald.

A&W

A&W is a fast food restaurants chains that famous from Canada and the name of the restaurant is come from the founder Roy W. Allen. The mascot of the A&W is come from the place because Canada has many bear and also from the constellation of Ursa Major that mean 'Great Bear'.

3D Character for Animation and Environment Design

Task 1: Info graphic

In the first week, we were given task to create an info graphic for a short 3d animation. There we need to learn about the character design, the shot their take, the color and audio, moral, background design and also the summary of the story.

Film title: DUM SPIRO


Summary: This story is about a messenger of Roman camp that need to send letter toward Viking camp about their war strategy that can change the fate of two world. In between of his important job, he need to past the bear territory to enter the Viking territory but the bear hate the human to enter his territory. So, how will the messenger send the letter and past the obstacles in the bear territory?
