MULTIMEDIA DESIGN: ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
MULTIMEDIA DESIGN: ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
WHAT IS MULTIMEDIA ?
Multimedia is content that uses a combination of different content forms such as text, audio, images, animation, videos and interactive content. Multimedia is contrast with media that use only rudimentary computer displays such as text only or traditional forms of printed or hand-produced materials.
Multimedia can be recorded and played, displayed, dynamics, interacted with or accessed by information content processing devices, but also can part of live performance. Multimedia devices are electronic media devices used to store and experience multimedia content. Multimedia is distinguished from mixed media in fine art by including audio, for example, it has broader scope. The term "rich media" is synonymous for interactive multimedia.
Multimedia presentation may be viewed by a person on stage, projected, transmitted, or played locally with media player. A broadcast may be a lived or recorded multimedia presentation. Broadcasts and recording can be either analog or digital electronic media technology.
Multimedia games and simulations may be used in physical environment with special effects, with multiple users in multiple users in an online networks, or locally with an offline computer, game system or simulator.
MULTIMEDIA DESIGN: ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
OBJECTIVE
The objectives of this module is:
1. Explore and articulate the implications of software innovations to the aesthetics of design.
2. Identify mainstream and alternate technologies, and articulate the impact of new technologies on a design practise, cultures, media, content and usage.
3. Develop a multimedia design project that intergrates conceptual development, technology and stylistic decision making, and resolve to a professional level.
4. Present a coherent final designed outcome with demonstrable development of processes, technical experimentation and critical of decision-making.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
LEARNING OUTCOMES: MULTIMEDIA DESIGN: ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
LOC 1: KNOWLEDGE
In first learning outcomes, I need to reflect critically upon ones own and utilize self-editing skills within the design process that I learn in this module.
LOC 2: THNKING SKILLS
In here, I need to demonstrate critical, evaluative and making skills using a number of specialist media and processes.
LOC 3 and LOC 4: SUBJECT-BASED PRATICAL SKILLS
I need to demonstrate the use of the methodologies and project management skills within the design project in this module. I also need to work on screen and paper-based formats which synergy and visual coherence. This is where I need to show my sketches and work using the software.
LOC 5: SKILLS FOR LIFE AND WORK
I need to constructs and implement a realistic timetable of research. In here I need to construct on my timetable for this module on how I'm going to utilize my seven week for this module.
